February 22, 2017

If you haven't head of sheet mask, where have you been hiding? These face masks can be found all over Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Sephora, and every drugstore. I love trying anything beauty related so of course I gravitated toward trying this new beauty trend! Sheet masks and eye masks have been a stable in beauty routine lately and should be in yours too!

Sheet Masks.
Sheet masks are face-shaped sheet fabrics soaked in serum. There are many kinds of sheet masks made up of variety of materials including paper, fibers, or gel types. Sheet masks are generally used once and are individually packaged, making them fast, convenient, and easy to use. Its easy to use, the face sheets are usually one size fits all, just apply to a clean face and leave on for 20-30 minutes.
Origination.
Sheet masks originated from South Korea! They are popular  all over Asia and now world wide. It's recent popularity in the United States has been due to various celebrities utilizing these masks and posting it to social media.

Benefits.
Sheet masks helps helps the serum to infuse in your skin longer. With the various vitamins and minerals, these face masks helps hydrate your skin compared to clay masks. Some sheets masks also claim to brighten and firm your skin. Sheets masks also allow yourself to pamper yourself at home without going to an expensive spa. These masks range in price ($1-$150+) but are pretty much affordable! My favorite ones can be found at TJ Maxx or Marshalls (pictured above), and usually come in packs of 5 or 10 for less than $5.
