International Women's Day!

March 8, 2018

Happy International Women's Day to all the women around the world. This post is dedicated to all of you.

Nothing more resonates with me than the quote above. So many amazing women have been role models, mentors, and inspirations in my life, my confidence is in large part theirs. I believe uplifting each other is crucial especially when were in a space of constant comparison and competition in today's world of social media. Choosing to be around positivity and removing yourself from toxic people who bring you down is needed to empower your spirits. To those inspiring women all over the world who are encouraging others to get out of their comfort zones, dream bigger, and be a better women, I thank you.

The many wonderful women around the world who paved the way before us, would be smiling down on us today. We've come such a long way in society but still have a long way to go. Change is happening in many forms whether it's in the entertainment industry, fashion, beauty, travel, lifestyle, corporate world, and etc. There is no one size mold to what women should be. We are breaking barriers, generalizations and expectations. We are standing up and speaking our truths no matter what the consequences are. With all these movements happening right now like #MeToo and #TimesUp, it's incredible to witness that we are revolutionizing our voices to be heard. I have never been more proud to be a woman!

May we continue courageously to stand up for ourselves and others. Let's stop the jealousy, bringing each other down, and hate. We can accomplish much more if we strive to stick together. As I mentioned earlier, social media has been a catalyst of many girls comparing each other, depression, and competition. We are all beautiful, we are all worthy, and we all have a story. No one can ever be you, so don't try to be anyone but yourself. As cliche as the sounds, it's true. We can accomplish anything we put our minds too. We can all succeed without bringing each other down. Our individual stories make us unique and that's something no one can ever take away from you or try to emulate. I have so much to say on this topic but let me end this post with this. Let's push each other to go above and beyond, support each other by sharing knowledge, and inspire one another to conquer our dreams.
