Many people have their new years resolutions and goals set for the year. Keeping organized is a huge part of the equation when you want to keep on track in pursuit of your end goal. Organizing your life seems impossible but sometimes the smallest steps that make the biggest difference in the end. Here are a few tips that can help you keep organized throughout the year!
To Do List.
Creating a detailed to-do list of everything you need to accomplish whether it is a daily, weekly, or a monthly list is so efficient to keeping organized. Having that reminder on a piece of paper or on your phone makes it more attainable when it's visible to you at all times. Checking off things on your to-do list is so satisfying and keeping you on track on being productive!
Update Planner/Calendar.
You can find inexpensive planners everywhere! My favorite places to buy planners are either from Marshalls and TJ Maxx. Planners are an effective way to keep organize especially since you can bring it with you anywhere to keep updated when needed. If you want a more personalized planner, there are tons of websites that specialize in customizing planners also Etsy has a great selection as well. If you're not into using a physical planner, your smart phone is also a great way to stay organized. Keeping your calendar updated with important dates and appointments is useful since you always have your phone nearby.
Finish One Task Before Starting a New One.
Many people think they are great multi-taskers. The reality is, multitasking often leads to having multiple unfinished tasks. It is best to finish one task before starting another and getting it done correctly and efficiently. By pouring your energy into one specific task, it allows you to focus and get it done quickly.
Declutter Your Space.
Whether it's your closet space, office space, your car, your kitchen, your living room, whatever it is---find time to DECLUTTER! A disorganized area can add unnecessary stress. Not knowing where things are located is a problem. The time you waste on looking for something can be used more wisely if you know where things are located. Decluttering doesn't need to be as painful as many make it out to be. Making time at the end of each week to organize, get rid of things you don't need, and deep cleaning the specific area, can give your peace of mind.
