Beauty & Essex Brunchin | Sunday Funday

January 8, 2017

If you haven't experienced a New York City style brunch, you are missing out! It is not the typical brunch you are you used to attending. with a live dj, great food, and bottomless mimosas. There are many places in the city that offer an array of bottomless brunches, but this is one of my all time favorites!

Beauty & Essex.

Address: 146 Essex Street, New York 10002

A few friends from California were in town and I wanted them to experience a NYC Sunday funday. The first place that came to mind was Beauty & Essex which located in the Lower East Side. If you are not familiar with the LES, it is the place to be for cool restaurants and bars. I have a few places I will feature on my blog in upcoming posts so stay tuned for that. If you rolled up to Beauty & Essex, you will be sort of confused as to why there is a pawn shop at the entrance. Lo and behold walking through the pawn shop, this door will take you into a glamorous-chic ambiance. The concept of Beauty & Essex is so unique and makes you feel you're going to a top secret location. You are also able to buy things at the pawn shop which is cool as well. Over the years, this place is not so top secret because you will most likely find a line to get in during brunch hours over the weekend. *TIP*(You need a reservation to get in to the champagne brunch area). The prime time to go brunch is around 2-4pm. It is much more fun around those time frames just FYI.

I've been to Beauty & Essex a couple times over the years for birthdays, special celebrations, and just to have a great Sunday funday. If you're going to the champagne brunch area, the prefix menu is amazing! You get family style servings and endless champagne for the time you are there which in most cases is a two hour limit at a table. If you don't want to be upstairs with a prefix menu, downstairs has seating for regular brunch and it's also more family friendly. But if you're in town with the girls or big group of friends, looking for a great time I highly suggest going to the champagne brunch area. Here are some photos of my recent brunch with my west coast friends, enjoy!
