Two Days in Ibiza // Spain

Things To Do in Ibiza Spain

Ibiza is the ultimate European summer destination for many people all around the world. I mean why wouldn't you go? From the beautiful blue water, winding streets, beautiful old buildings makes this the a great place to for a getaway vacation!

Ibiza, España.
Ibiza has over fifty gorgeous beaches, a hot spot for international DJ's/parties, and one of the top locations people from all over the world have on their bucket-list. Being part of the Balearic Islands, Ibiza is a jewel of the Mediterranean Sea. You can take a ferry or plane ride to get to this island. You may notice a hippy/bohemian culture here and also notice many locals speak Catalan. Whether you're coming here for fun vacation with your friends or relaxing with your family, you will have a blast!

Flying from Barcelona to Ibiza, I couldn't wait to see what Ibiza had to offer. I've heard many stories of people who have visited before mention it's such a party island. As soon as you get to the airport it's marketed that way with all the posters and signs everywhere. Our hotel was located near the port next to the old town which made it very accessible to many shops and restaurants. I was actually pleasantly surprised on how many families I saw vacationing here. There is so much to Ibiza than just the party scene. People from all ages and from all parts of the world come here to see the most beautiful beaches and relax. It is pricey and touristy during high season (summer months), but it's an amazing travel destination to add to your travel list. Because we only stayed two days here, I didn't get to explore as much as I wanted to. Two days wasn't enough for me but enough to get a small taste of what Ibiza was really about. I know I will be back for sure and get to see more of this beautiful island and also get to explore the other Balearic Islands. Here's a few suggestions on what to do in Ibiza if you're going for two days!

I definitely wanted to mention this if you found my blog because you're interested on the tour I was on, be advised that you will have extra expenses here. Many of us on the tour were surprised with the cost of the tickets and wished we were told prior. So if you want to go to the clubs with the group just make sure you have money aside to buy these tickets.

Visit the Old Town.
Visiting the old town is a must see stop when you're in Ibiza. From the cobble stone streets, yummy restaurants, shops, and the port; there's so much to see and do here. Dalt Vila (which translates to Upper Town), it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site that takes you back through 2,500 years of fascinating history. It's situated at the top which you should bring comfy shoes and water when walking to the top just because it's a steep incline. You get amazing views and a good workout while walking around!

Take a Boat Ride.
The best way to see any island is by boat! Whether you're charting a private boat, going on a boat tour, party cruise, or a ferry; seeing the island by boat is a great way to see Ibiza in a different perspective. There's many options for people of all budgets, so it's up to you! You can clearly see many boats and gorgeous yachts docked on the port but I found a very cheap way to not only get transported to one of Ibiza's famous beaches but also get to experience a nice boat ride and see gorgeous views. There's a ferry that picks you up from the old town takes you to the beach for around 2 euro! You can't beat that price and highly suggest it if you're on a budget.

Go to Platja d'en Bossa.
You should visit this beach when you're in Ibiza! To get here you take a ferry that costs around 2 euro and it transports you this beach! You're dropped off at the port and off to do whatever you desire. There's tons of restaurants, shops, and hotels located on this beach strip. You can soak up the sun laying by the beach (if it's not cloudy like it was during when I was there but still humid), swim, do water sports, or just walk around! Also you will see airplanes by over the beach frequently since the airport is nearby just an fyi.

Eat by the Beach.
There's many restaurants that are located by the beach. This one in particular was located at Platja d'en Bossa beach strip and it's called Forever. The food was amazing and so was the staff that was working there. You were just few steps away from the beach while enjoyed an amazing meal!

Enjoy the Nightlife.
This is what Ibiza is known for so if you're here, you have to experience it at least once! Whether you're a person who likes to party or not, I think just seeing what it's all about is a must. Even though there's day parties, pool parties, boat parties, I think experiencing the nightlife is what you should aim to do when you're in Ibiza. So we had the option on night one to go to Ushuaia night club to see Kygo, then go to an open bar for an hour then attend an all white paint party. It was definitely a fun packed night but also draining if you haven't properly rested. So I do recommend just resting before going out for the night. I would have to say it's a fun, energetic vibe and experience you won't forget with so many people just enjoying the music. On night two we headed to Ushuaia to see David Guetta and also had the option to go see Martin Garrix at HI club right across the street. I was so surprised to see people of all ages just having a great time, age is just a number here! Also drinks are very expensive at these clubs so I would recommend pre-gaming before going to a club.
