360 Camera Review

Sharing my honest review on the FITT 360 camera!

 FITT 360.

The FITT 360 is the world's first and only neckband 360 camera. It's a Korean product that was designed to capture footage effortlessly, hands free. There are three cameras on this device that automatically stitches the footage into a 360° format. This camera records up to seventy minutes and has the ability to livestream as well. This could be a great camera for those who are cyclists, people who love to hike, capture sporting events, or a family who want to have fun moments captured.

There are many 360 cameras on the markets already from many brands. What stood out to me about the FITT 360 was that it's a hands-free device. It's marketed as capturing footage in a first person point of view. So I had to try it out for myself and put it to the test to see what its really like. I didn't find many reviews of this product whether through blogs or youtube videos. So I'm sharing my real thoughts on this device as well as a video test on my youtube channel. The video is linked down below!

Price.

This 360 camera comes with a price tag of $490-$600 depending where you purchase it. It doesn't come with a micro-sd card which you will need to save your footage when you using this camera. That's an additional cost you need to take into account.

FITT 360 Camera Review

My Thoughts.

This camera can be a hit or miss product for many people. Although it's a pretty unique concept this camera doesn't have all the bells and whistles that other 360 cameras that are currently on the market have. For this price tag, the footage in my opinion should look better, clearer, and have some sort of built in stabilization. That's something that Im just personally particular on when it comes to cameras but if that's not a major concern for you than it won't be an issue. As mentioned earlier, the 3 camera stitch automatically to create the video footage. It has a fish eye effect on the sides of the video. Some people may like that look some may not, it's personal preference. I will say it's a very unique look compared to other cameras. You can color correct, stabilize, and crop in footage in whatever video editing software you have. But if aren't into video editing, thats the footage you will have without any manipulation. I show before and afters in my youtube video (linked below).

When recording, I love to review the footage that I filmed. This camera doesn't have a screen to do that. Not sure if that's what the app was intended for. But for reason my FITT360 camera wouldn't connect to the FITT360 app which was disappointing. Not sure if it was my camera or my phone but I tried a few times and it never connected successfully. Also apps are constantly being updated maybe there was a bug when I tried using it. I'm sure after more customer feedback, the app will be user friendly and helpful when connecting to the FITT360 camera.

If you're a person who doesn't have many memory cards laying around, you have to make an additional purchase for the micro-sd card. Whether it's ordering it online or going to the store, it just is another thing to keep in mind. For the price point I would've liked that it came with the camera even if it was micro-sd card with the lowest of gigs. Just so you can play around with it as soon as you receive it rather than waiting for a shipment or driving to the store.

Another thing to note is making sure your memory card is locked in the device. I went to a park to record thinking the footage saved to the card. When I went home to check it out on my laptop there was nothing saved. That could've been my fault but just letting you know even if the device says recording saved, it might actually not be saved if the memory isn't fully locked in place.

I do appreciate that this device uses a USB cable to charge. As someone who has multiple cameras, having multiple batteries can be headache to carry to shoot a project or scene somewhere on location. Having a USB cable just makes it easier when packing up equipment. The FITT360 comes with neck adjusters which is great so it can fit your neck nicely. This device also comes in array of different colors, the one I have is just plain black. I love the sleek design of this camera and it's straight forward to use. It's also very lightweight that sometimes you forget you have it on neck.

All in all, I think its a fun gadget to play around with. It's up to you if it's something you would add to your camera gear set up. Like I mentioned before, it's a hit or miss and personal preference in terms of liking the look of this 360 camera footage. I hope this review was helpful for those who are interested in purchasing this device. Don't forget to check out my youtube video and let me know if I should do more tech gadget reviews.

  12. Whaaaat?! I am fascinated! A 360° camera is such a crazy concept and I bet it's great for vlogging - especially when it comes to outdoor shots and B-roll. My husband is a videographer, so I'll have to chat with him about this and see what he knows!

  17. Oh wow, I've heard of this and I found the concept to be really interesting! The design is so unique! That said, I agree with you that a camera of that price should at the very least come with some kind of image stabilization feature. Still, seems like it'd be so fun to play with!
