35 Amazing Virtual Tours To Check Out

April 3, 2020 New York, NY, USA

Do you have a travel itch at the moment? Since this pandemic has stopped traveling until further notice. Here are some amazing virtual tours you can check out in the comfort of your home.

Virtual Tours from Around the World.
2020 has been a crazy year so far right? Experiencing a world-wide pandemic has certainly created a feeling of uncertainty with our health, jobs, government, state, and country all at once. Due to they stay at home order especially here in New York, some of you maybe getting that wanderlust itch.  Maybe you wish you were laying at a tropical beach somewhere, or hiking a mountain and seeing amazing views, or just walking around a city you love. Although we can't physically travel anywhere yet thanks to COVID-19. Technology is coming in clutch nowadays because we can now travel virtually anywhere.

An increase of googling virtual tours has increased since quarantine started and for good reason.  Anything to keep a positive mindset during this time is healthy. Hearing the news every day and hearing how cases keep increasing, or maybe a loss of a job, loved one, or stressing out on how to pay bills, can lead you to an emotional rollercoaster ride. I know I personally had a few breakdowns since this pandemic started. As a person who loves to travel, not having any upcoming trips to look forward to has me craving travel even more. A way I found to ease that feeling is to just look up places and pretend I'm there. Virtual escapes can make you feel like your traveled afar and forget  about all your problems.

With so much time at home, we have the chance to stimulate our interests and take advantage of the things we never had the time to do before. This whole pandemic thing is new to many of us. Some days are better than others when it comes to our productivity and emotions but if you just need a quick escape from your reality right now this post is here to help you. Luckily, many institutions around the world have developed ways to entertain and educate those who are quarantined by offering free virtual tours.

I complied a list of famous tourist attractions whether you want to re-visit them virtually or experience it for the first time through your screen. Also famous museums around the world give you visuals and access to either a full museum tour or specific exhibits to check out. If you're into NASA insights there are many resources for you to check out and get lost in space visually. If you miss visiting amusement parks, the two most famous parks have posted a few virtual tours for you to enjoy at home. These aren't ALL the virtual tours out there but I think these represent a wide range of interests for everyone to enjoy!

However, I am desperate to get outside into nature, which we are now able to do. But I'm with you, until I can travel again, I will be doing it virtually.

It will definitely get us excited about future travels! I will have to check out Machu Pichu for sure, as well as the Colosseum and Great Wall of China. So hard to decide where to start!
