Magnolia Streamside Resort

If you're traveling to the Poconos, look no further the Magnolia Streamside Resort is where you need to stay.

Magnolia Streamside Resort.
Address: 2518 Route 390 N, Canadensis, Pennsylvania 18325

Magnolia Streamside Resort is a family owned property with many gorgeous cottages alongside a running stream. This is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Poconos if you're coming with friends, family, or even by yourself. You'll find yourself in a relaxing oasis connecting with your mind, body and soul. I got to speak with one of the co-owners of the property to get a little bit more history of this resort and their message they want to share with their guests.

Magnolia Streamside Resort has been open for business for a little over two years now and the owners are two sisters. Inna Vityuk, one of the owners was telling me how she lived and worked in New York City for many years and wanted slow down the fast paced life she was living. These sisters wanted to create a place where you disconnect from the everyday distractions and connect with nature. They intentionally didn't put televisions in their cottages for this reason which I thought was a great way to advocate for bonding time with the people you came with. Magnolia Streamside Resort also promotes simple living, recycling and eco-friendly practices.

There's also a healing center here if you want to have a relaxing massage by the stream. Weddings are held here as well so if you're interested in a wedding location this definitely a location to consider! As I spoke more with Inna, she mentioned the many upcoming projects in the works they have for Magnolia Streamside Resort in the future which is so exciting! They will be adding off the grid lodging options such as a no electricity tree house, an airstream, and nomadic tipi's. These new options sound like they will be a big hit as soon as they open and can't wait to see how that turns out! All in all, Magnolia Streamside Resort's message is to reconnect with nature and your core values of connection with people. With hectic schedules, work, and technology we sometimes forget to stop and slow down. We need to take in our surroundings more and also take time to reflect. By staying here you have the chance to unwind and have pure relaxation with no distractions.

So I haven't been to the Poconos in years. My mother and father would actually come here often when they were newlyweds and brought me here as well when I was younger. I couldn't wait to revisit and make new memories. I brought my mother and grandmother along with me to unplug from our hectic lives and enjoy some bonding time together. If you have never heard of the Poconos before, it's a region in Pennsylvania that is quite popular all year around. Many New Yorkers and people across the tri-state area love coming here to escape the city life and just relax. We got to experience the most scenic drive before arriving at our final destination and I can't even imagine how beautiful it is here during the autumn season.

Arriving at Magnolia Streamside Resort, I couldn't wait to check out this property. I parked the car, and walked over to the office to check in. The checking in process was pretty smooth and you are supplied with a numeral key code to open your cottage. We stayed in the Laural Cottage during our time here. This cottage was so gorgeous, it had everything you needed for your stay! It was a one bedroom cottage that sleeps up to four people but very spacious. We didn't feel crammed at all  and the decor of each area felt so cozy, like we were right at home.

The attention to detail is something I personally always look into when checking into any accommodation. As you as you walk in the cottage you have a lovely greeting note on the coffee table alongside with magazines and board games. There was also a good amount of wood logs and matches available to use the fire place. We were offered essential oils to be put into the diffuser upon arrival. There was also many pots and pans in the kitchen cabinets available for use which was  awesome since we did cook a bunch of meals while we stayed here. As I mentioned before Magnolia Streamside Resort emphasizes eco-friendly practices so they even have a compost bin in the kitchen which I thought was great. The private terrace had everything you needed as well to relax while being outdoors from the hammock, bbq grill, the macrame swinging chair, and the tables and chairs. Even though the pool was closed for the season it looked like the perfect place to cool down during a hot summer day.

This was one of the most relaxing places I've been to in awhile. Hearing the water from the stream from the moment we woke up to when we went to bed was so calming. Making meals together and bonding over the games provided was such a fun time with my mother and grandma. So many laughs and memories were made while being here. The communal spaces in the back of the resort was so greatly decorated from the pretty string lights that lit up at night, the bridges, comfy chairs, sitting spaces, and fire pits, it was picturesque from every corner. We met another family that was staying here and it was also their first time visiting this resort and they were loving it as well. The pond was very serene if you desired to go fishing or just sit back and read a book.

Our time here was short, we only got to stay for two nights. I would recommend to stay longer if you can because we honestly didn't want to leave! If you want to book the Laural Cottage or check out the other cottages Magnolia Streamside Resort have available (click here) to find out more information.

Overall Thoughts.
The hospitality here was above and beyond. When I tell you this place is family owned, I mean it. From the owner and everyone we came across were very friendly and helpful. If you ever needed anything extra in your cottage or even asking for recommendations around the area, they will attend to your needs with no problems. The grounds are well kept and everything you will ever need for a nice getaway is in your cottage. The tranquility and serenity that was found here was unmatched and refreshing. So if you're coming in a small/big group or alone, this resort is perfect to enjoy all year around. I highly recommend checking this place out and also stay here as long as you can, it's so worth it!
